Underwater MUSEUM (Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA))
While everyone has visited a regular museum, have you ever put on scuba gear and jump into the bright blue, yet crystal-clear waters of Cancun.

Gear up and jump in the ocean with the fish and crabs to explore Cancun's one of a kind fully submerged museum. With stunning statues of people and even a car with fish swimming inside of it. (For the scientist out there don't be frightened for these statues are made of pH-neutral marine concrete so it doesn't affect the marine life negatively). And if you're into marine biology these statues are COVERED in fan corral, sea moss and more. Not to mention the beautiful caves of coral reef that you get to swim through. Thats right, it's not just statues that you get to explore, you get to swim through the natural bridges of the sea, explore the sea life growing on it and see some impressive looking fish.

Allow me to tell you about one my personal favorite parts, while I was swimming around the coral, I saw my one of my all-time favorite fish, they may not be pretty, but they can grow up to be 2.3 meters (7.5 feet) and weight nearly 200 kg (440 pounds). if you haven't guessed it yet I'm talking about the adult black grouper. I can't describe how much I like this fish; their sheer size is just impressive; I've never seen a fish look so intimidating and silly at the same time (not counting sharks).
Now back to the statues, I had a lot of time admiring them but there is a funny side to them. The statues are covered with coral giving the people funky hair styles and clothing. But as I mention before these statues are made out of pH-neutral marine concrete. but they serve a purpose more than to just look pretty and be safe. This concrete is specially made to help coral reef grow and start, in fact over 200 hundred young coral systems stating to grow because of it. It was so fun watching the thousands of tiny little tropical fish swim around them picking at some of the coral. And in total "the installations occupy an area of over 420 square meters of previously barren seabed" according to "Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA) by Jason DeCaires Taylor (underwatersculpture.com)"
