Gdynia, Poland

Being a seaside city, Gdynia has many places to visit the water, but one of the best places is on the "bulwar nadmorski." A bulvar where you can walk, run, bike, and more while gazing at the great Baltic covered in a small coat of sailboats scattered everywhere. No need to worry about cars because they don't and can't drive there; you can just sip coffee from one of the many food stands and relax while on the path designated for walking. The stands with food serve things like swirled ice cream, fluffy waffles, fresh drinks, and crispy fries. And if you're looking forward to bringing a memory back with you, then you can buy magnets, hats, postcards, and more. But if you're a little bit more fast-paced and prefer to invest your money into fun, then don't worry because there is a forest right next to the beach with a great MTB trail,  and you can rent out a scooter and ride around the beach. If you're looking for an adventure on a ship, you can also get to look through the eyes of a sailor by journeying through the seas on a tour ship. (update: they now have a fully functional outdoor gym fully complete with weights)

Although going on a walk by the beach of Poland is great, you can only do that so many times. If shopping is more your style, then I recommend visiting Gdynia's Centrum Handlowy Riviera (shopping mall). The mall has a variety of shops and stores to visit. From clothing to electronics, you can get all your needs in one place. It has 3 stories and a place for everything.

By the time you finish shopping (if you have kids), your kids will be restless. No worries, because there is an easy fix to your problem. Not far from the mall you can go to park centralny (Central Park). Any restless kid or teen will have fun being active here. There is a playground for smaller kids, a playground for bigger kids, and a decently sized skate park all right next to each other. And within this park is a walking path that goes around both playgrounds and the skatepark.

In most cities, you would have to drive miles away to get some peace. But Gdynia isn't an average city. Somehow there is an area in Gdynia with absolute silence. You can escape from the cars and traffic by heading into a forest in the middle of Gdynia. Polanka Redlowska is a quite safe haven for walking/hiking, and MTB, in this forest right next to the beach. The mountain bike trails look really fun with lots of curves, jumps, and hills. The silence within this forest is unreal, you can hear, everything.
