Lassen Volcanic
The most common and popular parks are Yosemite; known for it's volcanic mud and volcanic sites, Glacier national Park; for it souring mountains and glaciers, Big Bend; for it's red cliffs and dessert, And Tetons for it's blue lakes. All these parks are spread across the US and can take lots of time to visit them there. Plus most of these parks have lots of tourists each year. And although are these parks are unique in there own ways. But there is one park that has little to no tourists, hot mud, red cliffs, big mountains, pine trees, and blue lakes, all in one. Lassen volcanic.
Yellow Stone National Park, one of the most visited Parks receives more than 5 million visitors a year. While lasen volcanic gets only half a million each year. A park having lots of visitors should be a good thing because that means it's pretty and we'll maintained. But in some cases it's counterintuitive. When a park gets to many visitors it can face problems like littering, scaring wildlife, ruining trails and getting injured by going places that your not supposed to. When a park has less visitors, rangers can focus on improving the park instead of repairing damages already made. Plus it's can also be inconvenient for the poeple trying to see things within parks. In some parks there is so many people that it can bleed to over crowding, so park resort to reservations to visit popular areas and camp sites. Although this is a good solution it can take months to get a reservation at a super popular park. In Lasen volcanic National Park you face none of these problems and can enjoy all the amazing views in peace, you won't even have to edit poeple out of your photos. (Note: Yellow Stone National Park was just an example of a popular park and it is still one of my favorites)
Lassen Volcanic is home to over 200 lakes, so many that I barely remember which ones I visited. They range from muddy to clear, still to disturbed, gray to blue, and normal to boiling acidic mud ( which will burn your skin off). Due to volcanic activity, there are also hot springs in the area. However, I didn't get to experience the springs myself. despite the number of lakes, the most common ones are Manzanita lake, Summit lake, Butte lake, Juniper lake, Lake Helen, and boiling springs lake.
Mount Lassen, also known as Lassen Peak, is a prominent feature of Lassen Volcanic National Park and stands at 10,457 feet. It is one of the largest plug dome volcanoes in the world and last erupted between 1914 and 1921. The volcanic activity has shaped the landscape, providing areas for hiking trails and breathtaking views, making the area around the peak a good destination for nature lovers, fishers, hikers, and more.
